INQUILAB

The party’s manifesto focuses on the Inclusive, Democratic and Equitable India. The party starts with the line “we are a political party that seeks to create a better future”. In its introduction the party pointed that its aim is for future, not on the present today or tomorrow. We can see that the party have been very focused and stressed on the weakening of the privatization. They believe privatization as a hinder on free education or giving equal opportunities for people, especially the middle class. Weakening or abolishing of privatization can lead to large amount of unemployment and there will be lack of healthy competition in the market. So without any measures or new policies on the place, simply weakening of privatization cannot be seen as an agenda. Also on stressing on free education to all from the government side, they should aim ensure a quality education for all.

Under the economic policy of the manifesto, their focus was shown in the job creation, social welfare, and environment sustainability and in the fiscal responsibility. Under fiscal policy they mentioned that their idea on progressive taxation is to remove inequality. But we can see the measure of progressive taxation as criticized by many of the scholars on the name of the inequality or injustices they have shown to the richer section.

In the political reforms they have discussed, the electoral reforms in terms on proportional representation, public financing and transparency and accountability. While only mentioning the words transparency or accountability, the manifesto lacks what measures they can take to achieve the same. Also on putting a random independent Anti-Corruption commission cannot remove the corruption from the country. For these kind of independent responsibilities, expert and non-biased scholars are required, where the party has mentioned anything. Also the party has not given any role or importance to the judiciary or any related reforms in their manifesto.

For the LGBTQ’s rights, they have proposed an idea of promoting same sex marriage and protection of their personal rights. For the party who given all the socialist ideas of reservation and affirmative action, LGBTQ’s rights and protection can be seen in a more broad way. They can also encourage their representation in various sectors as a coming revolutionary party. From the manifesto, as more of some random reforms, they lack a clarity for their audience on their policies or laws. As more of taking some random points of the contemporary relevance, we can’t see party coming with an ideology or any formulated policy to tackle the problems or to attract people to them.
