Independent People's Party

● The party plans to promote a single payer healthcare system. But there is a catch to this idea. When the government is the one paying all the bills for healthcare, they get to decide what they will and will not pay for. If the government hasn’t raised enough taxes, that could lead to longer wait times and fewer doctors being available.

● Irrespective of the love and respect for vernacular languages, it needs to be accepted that English has nearly become a ubiquitous language of higher education. A large number of foreign educational institutions demand a certificate of English as the medium of instruction in the degrees possessed by admission seekers. The stance which the party has taken on English education mainly focuses on the representation of different communities through the medium of English. It does not reflect upon certified English courses which would benefit the students in the long run.(English is centralized, but the problem resides in the quality of education)

● The party plans to promote higher usage of HYV crops in the agricultural sector, but they are not taking into account the high usage of pesticides and chemical fertilizers which would be needed to maintain these crops. Indian soils traditionally have low nitrogen and phosphorus content, but high potassium. As per the 2019-20 Soil Health Survey conducted by the Indian government, 55 percent of the country’s soil is deficient in nitrogen, 42 percent in phosphorus and 44 percent in organic carbon.while fertilizers can increase crop yields and, thereby, ensure food security – as the Green Revolution most famously demonstrated – they extract a big cost in soil health.

● No explicit description on what type of insurance would be provided to the farmers to build resilience among them.

● The party wants to promote privatization, but iPrivate companies dealing mainly in public welfare sectors like health, education, and others are more profit-oriented than welfare-oriented. This dearly costs the common person in the form of excessive taxes, higher prices, and a poor state of quality and services.

● There are a number of problems associated with Mutual Funds in India, this includes low financial literacy, malpractices in trading etc. etc. How does the party plan to address these problems?

● What does the party explicitly plans to do to make sure that the private competitors in the insurance field , do not only focus upon their profits?

● The party wants to promote electric vehicles and in the next five years wants to replace 50 percent of the public transport with pollution free vehicles. But there are a number of problems associated with it: i) EV cost and battery cost: The cost is the most concerning point when it comes to electric vehicles. Due to a scarcity of lithium, India still relies heavily on imports to produce EV batteries, which presents a significant barrier for businesses looking to engage in the country's EV market. ii) Quality of the EV: Right now, both the technology and companies are new to the market and the products they are manufacturing are possibly facing real customers for the first time. And it’s nearly impossible to make such a complex product like an automobile perfect for the customers in the first go, and as expected the buyers faced many issues. iii) Poor infrastructure and anxiety range: Poor infrastructure is among the most pressing issues among people thinking to opt for electric vehicles. Poor infra doesn’t only include a lack of charging stations but also the lack of proper charging set up. Range anxiety is also a real concern when it comes to EV. Typically when it comes to the scenario in India you have to be satisfied with a low or mid range driving capacity in the context of electric vehicles. iv) Will increase the electricity demand at the national level.

● It has not been explicitly described about any policies to help out the diaspora out in the middle east .

● The party wishes to request all the countries where the pro-Khalistan protests have been raging to take urgent cognizance and prevent such secessionist protests/demonstrations. Which is not practical in nature.
